Harbour Island Restaurants & Bars
Harbour Island, Bahamas is the perfect destination for foodies that enjoy stepping outside of their hotel or vacation rental to explore delicious dining options and cocktails. While the island of “Briland” is small, there is no shortage of restaurant options to suit any taste, from casual dining to fine dining and everything in between. The hotels in Harbour Island all have amazing dining options as well, and welcome guests from outside their hotel to dine with them (often with reservations to avoid disappointment). Cafes & Breakfast Spots
Cocoa’s Coffee House
Our pick for a laid back, social vibe where you’ll want to stay a while and hang out or work.
Located at Valentine’s Resort & Marina, Cocoa’s is a go-to spot for delicious smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, coffee & more. They have a large front patio to sit and mingle, and they offer online ordering for the tech savvy looking to order ahead and beat the lines (this place gets busy, being a go-to for yachts parked at Valentine’s Marina, hotel guests and other island visitors alike). They also offer free wifi, plant-based milk alternatives, and select vegan options (menu changes, but avocado toast is a common feature). Our go-to menu item here is the Beach Apparel smoothie, with added spinach!
Sweet Spot Cafe
Located at Bay st & King St, just across from Queen Conch, the Sweet Spot Cafe is the only vegan restaurant we know off in Harbour Island, and is a saviour if you’re a plant-based eater that needs substance and tries to stay away from over-processed meat alternatives like Beyond Meat or Impossible meats (commonly used at various restaurants around the island as the vegan option). Their menu changes regularly, but always offers a ton of options for a plat-based breakfast & lunch options like bowls, portabello burgers, wraps and more. They also offer fresh-pressed juice including immune booster shots with a healthy punch of turmeric, ginger and the like. Whether you’re vegan or simply looking for a healthy meal, juice or smoothie, Sweet spot cafe is a must-visit. Note: Seating is limited, but there is a table inside and on the porch, so you can plan to eat in if you’d like.
Arthur’s Bakery
Our pick for baked goods and freshly made bread in Harbour Island.
Arthur’s Bakery is located on Dunmore St. just beside Tropic Hut, and is famous for their freshly baked bread and treats. This is a hands-down must-visit while visiting Harbour Island, where you can grab a delicious breakfast including avocado toast, egg sandwiches, pancakes, french toast & more, or lunch with a plethora of sandwich options and then grab some famous jalapeno cheese bread and a few key lime tarts to go! This locally run gem has people coming back again and again, so be sure to go early in your vacation to Harbour Island, because we know you’ll be back for more!
Briland Deli (previously, Dunmore Deli)
Located on the corner of King St & Princess Street, the Briland Deli (renamed from Dunmore Deli) is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. It’s known for hearty & delicious brunch choices at reasonable prices including eggs, sandwiches and salads that pair nicely with mimosas, or featured sangria flavors they change up. They have a nice wrap around deck where you can sit in the shade and enjoy a tasty meal with friends or family. Note: They only accept cash, so be sure to have cash on hand before heading over to enjoy a delicious brunch in Harbour Island.
